A musician for over 45 years, Wes Henley plays electric, acoustic and slide guitar as well as mandolin. Wes grew up in Chicago but spent most summers in West Tennessee visiting with his family. Heavily influenced by artists like Carl Perkins as a child, Wes began playing guitar at around the age of five.

From 1981 till 1989 Wes played and toured with his music hero and was a part of the Carl Perkins Band. During that time he had the opportunity to play on stage and/or in the studio with many of rock's legendary artists such as Beatle George

Harrison, Brian Setzer, Jimi Jamison and Survivor, Roger Daltry, Steven Tyler of Aerosmith, Graham Nash, Stephen Stills, Brett Scallions of Fuel Mac McAnally and Steve Cropper. As an independent recording engineer and producer Wes has recorded over a hundred CD's. His studio, Highland House Recording Studio has worked with many of the area's finest artists and continues

to be one of the premier state-of-the-art studios in the Mid-South. Wes is a boardmember of The Exchange Club Carl Perkins Center for the Prevention of Child Abuse and is currently co-producing artist Alyson Gilbert with Mac McAnally.

He lists his favorite quote as: "I Know you believe you think you understand what you thought I said but I'm not sure you realize that what you heard is not what I meant"

Ron grew up in Jackson, TN in the 1950's and 60's. Influenced heavily by the native artists of the area, Ron began playing guitar at the age of 13. He relates one of the single most influential events of his early music years as the appearance of the Beatles on the Ed Sullivan Show in the early 60's.

Through high school Ron played with various cover bands made up largely of friends like Alan Wheeler, Jimmy Reece and others in his circle of friends from the era. Today, Ron, Alan, and Jimmy play together, along with Julie Rhodes and Gary McClellan, once again in a classic rock, rhythm & blues band called FlashBack.

Though music has, and is, the great passion of Ron's life, another calling seemed to be beckoning him in the mid-70's. "Broadcasting was a field," Ron once said, "always appealed to me as a youngster for some reason. I don't know if it was because of the music involvement or the sheer excitement of what the DJ's of the day were doing".

After traveling on the road playing and recording with various bands during the early 1970's Ron moved back to Jackson from Nashville, got married and settled into life in his hometown of Jackson.

Staying active in music for the next several years he organized and traveled in the gospel music field. During those years Ron continued to write songs, produce and record projects for his own group and others as well.

During the 1970's he entered the broadcasting field and remains in that career today as a news director and program director with Forever Communications, Inc. in Jackson.

Returning to his Rock & Roll and Rhythm & Blues roots in 2001 by organizing FlashBack, Ron continues to indulge his passion for music, songwriting, and broadcasting.
